About Us

CBC-History-ChurchWe are a church who believes that we are called to “LOVE GOD, LOVE OTHERS AND SERVE THE WORLD!”

At CBC we simply want to value what God values, and focus on what God calls us to focus on, so we study the Bible to seek out the direction for that which He has called us to. Jesus Christ sums it up best by leaving us with two great commands: loving God with all that we are and loving others as ourselves (Mark 12:29-31).

LOVE GOD – Celebrate: Loving God is to be summed up in our fear and awe of Him (Eccl. 12:13) and our passion towards Him (Matt. 10:37-38) through obedience (1 John 5:2). [Worship]

LOVE OTHERS – Connect: The best way to sum up love towards people biblically is to understand it as John did: “We love because he first loved us” (1 John 4:19). John also intricately connects this love of people to obedience to God’s commands (5:2). Therefore, love of others is rooted in the understanding of our love for God. [Discipleship & Fellowship]

SERVE THE WORLD – Care: We know that God has given us each a life mission to share with others about His love – “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…” (Matt. 28:19-20). We believe this best happens when we start serving them in humility just as Jesus Christ models (John 13:1-14). [Mission and Ministry]
A Message From CBC Staff

“Community Baptist Church is a church with a vision to transform our greater community by creating healthy relationships through a connection with Jesus Christ. Our services are designed to be relevant, enjoyable, and meaningful. We encourage people to connect, serve and grow in small groups and ministry teams that offer authentic relationships within a larger community of faith. We invest in our children and students, believing them to be some of the greatest influencers of the church today.

Whatever your circumstances – single, married, single again, with or without children – and no matter where you’ve been or what you’ve done, you matter to God.. and to us. The focus of our services is worshipping God. In the presence of a gracious and loving God, we pray that your experience at our Church will help you take your next step toward Christ.”
